Hello, I'm Lauren

Wedding and Equine Photographer

I’m Lauren, the photographer behind Lanie’s Lens — quietly observant, calm, and reassuring by nature. At 26, my work is deeply rooted in patience, storytelling, and an appreciation for the moments that often pass too quickly.

I first picked up a camera to photograph my horse and myself. That experience shaped the way I see photography today — as a way to preserve connection, emotion, and fleeting moments that would otherwise slip into memory.

We can’t take much of the present into the future, but we can always take a photograph.

My approach

I’m drawn to creating imagery that feels romantic and cinematic, turning real moments into fine art. I believe the moments we live for deserve to be immortalised — not just remembered, but felt again years later. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, an engagement session, or an equine bond, my goal is always the same: to make people feel beautiful, confident, and truly seen.

Inspired by old film photography, I create warm, whimsical images designed to be wall-worthy and timeless. I have a deep love for the changing seasons and the atmosphere they bring — soft summer light, crisp autumn air, misty mornings, or dramatic skies. Whatever the weather, I believe every moment can be re-romanticised, using it to add depth, mood, and meaning to your story.

On a wedding day, I balance gentle guidance with documentary storytelling, ensuring everything you’ve asked for is captured while also preserving the quiet, in-between moments you didn’t even realise were happening.

As a 2025 bride myself, I understand how important it is to feel safe, supported, and fully trusted with your memories. My role is to be a calming presence, capturing your story in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and worthy of the moments you’ll carry with you for a lifetime.
